Deep Release Through Yin Yoga and Tissue Restoration
FRIDAY 29TH JUNE
£25 (pre-booking is advisable via triyoga)
In this practise exploring deep release we will slowly move through a grounding yin sequence allowing us time to enquire into internal anchors in our bodies for settling and resetting. As we relax muscle tissue and encourage gravitational pull inside our bodies, we can perhaps release with more depth and quality of feeling. In the process we might discover that deep release can also be attained from more subtle connections and interoceptive awareness. This session integrates mindful based practises with breathwork, body play and tissue restoration, and these simple tools can be useful take-aways for a lifetime of practise on and off the mat.
Yin yoga is a slow, explorative and listening practise where positions are held for up to 5 minutes to allow the muscle tissue to relax as much as possible and to stimulate the connective tissue particularly around the joints. As well as seasoned yogis, yin can be beneficial for those who are super active in physical sports and complete beginners who wish to start to explore yoga so please bring your friend, partner or family member if they are interested.

Classes are designed for individuals or groups and can be purely on a one off basis to give you a taster or they can be made more regular. If you manage a team of people and are looking for a group activity then yoga is ideal. It’s fun and creates ideal circumstances for a team bonding experience, removing work barriers, increasing confidence/self-esteem and enhancing creativity. Classes are adapted to meet your company needs. The aim being to re-balance and create an overall sense of wellbeing for practitioners.
“I really appreciate our weekly yoga sessions with you. Our work in the school can be both stressful and rather sedentary, and the weekly yoga sessions makes a perfect antidote to this. I like the way each class concentrates on a particular area or aspect to work on, and am continually surprised by all the ways there are of stretching the body. As a cancer patient in my late fifties, I find these classes both challenging and nurturing. The relaxation at the end is like floating! I only wish I had had the benefit of them when I was younger”
Mary B – Teaching Assistant
Mary designs classes to focus on specific areas. These classes are ideal for couples/small groups who want one to one attention. In these sessions practitioners can focus on improving their technique and general alignment. Furthermore, private tuition will prepare you for coming to class and will benefit your self-practice at home. It will also deepen your understanding of yoga and the vital fundamental principles.
If you have an injury or ailment that prevents you from coming to class then private tuition yoga might be beneficial for you. It is always a good idea though to get approval from a medical practitioner before you begin your yoga practice.
“Just to say, I find the yoga class so useful – I have really noticed a difference in my physical and emotional well-being with the regular practice! So thank you!”
